I know most of you guys will say "nub build your own" but that's kinda died out for me. It used to be fun before and in the long run it's cheaper/easier/better to manage but meh. lack of time makes buying things easier nowadays.

if your not going to build your own gaming PC, do you think Dell is worth going for?

i dont just use it for gaming. studio production too.

plus i get a discount on all dell's through my firm.

I never build my own and I do fine. Then again, I don't mind spending the extra money for one as it is. I've been looking around for a new computer lately also.

Yeah I will always build my own because then I get the components I want instead of generic ones that I'll probably have to replace within a year depending on what's new and improved.

1) Please dear god tell me you aren't gunna use xp home edition
2) I'd spend the 40 and get the better video
3) 512 megs of ram is barely enough to run xp I'd get a bare min of 1 gig
4) Get the optical mouse it's only 10 bucks and optical > roller ball unless you are gunna take the roller ball out and throw it at people

Logic(software) is the most comprehensive music production software avaiable. Trust me, I've talked to many sound people who have been in the industry for a long time and they tell me that ProTools is out and Logic is in.

I have logic express and planning to upgrade to Logic very soon, its literally a studio in a box.

i'll go as far to agree that macs are better when it comes to media, but playing WoW on a mac... i'd never stand for such a thing. period.

i always hear about them being good for media. but PCs are my thing. i hate macs interface and i like knowing what to do if something gets fucked up.
