I'm going to wait awhile. The original superman movies are some of my favorites when I was a child.  Hearing the opening theme and seeing Christopher Reeve flying over the earth's horizon still gives me an adrenaline rush.

I'm just afraid they'll have screwed the whole feeling up in an attempt to make it more appealing to modern audiences.

Pfft, I have the whole set on DVD, but Im not a big fan of these movies cept for Supes 2.  # and 4 were a joke to me.  this movie will blow em away, Spacey as Lex?  You cant beat that shit.

I think this movie will be much more true to the character than the last ones.  Superman is considered one of the best comic book adaptions ever.  But you have Brian Singer doing this one, who is a major Superman fan boy.  Look what he did with X-Men and only imagine how hes going to portray the hero he loved as a boy.  I think we're in for a treat.

Alright, so that movie was sweet as hell.  It was a damn good movie, but it still doesn't beat Batman Begins.

Did you all get the Spiderman 3 trailer?  Great movie and Kevin Spacey fucking played Lex great!

I think my expectations were too high.  It was a good movie, but I didn't leave the theatre with an adrenaline rush like I did the 2 Spiderman movies, Batman Begins, or X-men 3.  I thought it started off really good, then halfway through slowed down alot and kinda drug on.  didn't care for the main storyline of the crystals at all.  But Spacey played a Hella Lex.  Best actor in the movie by far.

honestly, it really couldnt have been better, it played true to the Christopher Reeves films, yet was still unique in its own way

The cast was good (kevin spacey is the man), the script was very good, and the visuals were outstounding.

Im sorry, but if you didnt like this movie, you are putting the original Supermen on too high a pedestal

i thought spacey was a great fucking lex and brandon w/e played a great super man, often sounding just like the old superman, "good night lois"... gave me chills!  The visuals were just hands down amazing.

Something i didnt like at all was the fact that he couldnt fly fast enough to catch a falling plane (until close to the end) and then he couldnt slow it down (until the end, which kind of makes since cause he didnt want to crush it with the impact).  I didnt like the fact that he could lift a whole kryptonite island (his weakness, hello?) and that he couldnt put together that his crystals were gone and there was a robbery at the Gem musem.  Personally, i think the movie focused a little too much on lois and the boy, should have been called the "return of lois lane". 

Overall the movie was completely great!

oh and ps: superman should not have a fucking kid.  The whole thing was just dumb as fuck.  I hate the fact that they tried to appeal to the "younger" viewers by doing so.  So stupid.

but yes, the movie rules.

Oabe... he lifted the island with a large chunk of earth around it.. HELLO!!! didn't you see all of it falling off as the crystals grew downward..

at first thats what i thought he was doing.  but the island and the "chunk of earth" looked exactly the same and both had contents of kryptonite in it.
