as most of you know from when i logged onto the vent server. /laugh

i dont know what the hell is going on and im kinda a tech/programmer.

i cant even get the microphone to show up in the volume control panel. have no options for it anywhere, etc. have updated my sound card drivers, creative audigy 2 platinum setup, um, kinda stuck atm.

any help would be greatly appreciated so i can join y'all on vent.

What kind of mic is it hells, A USB MIC? or a headset?

Does your computer recognize a microphone or is it maybe muted in the sound options?

not a usb mic, logitech headset combo with 2 1/8" plugs. its not muted, it doesnt even show up, heh. like in the sound volume panel there is NO section for the microphone like usual. and i run win xp sp2.

Have you tried going to Options>Properties and then checking to see if the microphone box is checked? If its still not there, that is odd.

ended up uninstalling and reinstalling my sound card drivers twice and for some reason that fixed it. :?

anyhow, thx for the suggestions. it was annyong. least ill get vent up and properly running now. (but ill test on my own server first so i dont cause ne commotion on our server)
