Something i noticed tonight was that some of the new recruits and people that have recently hit 60 are way undergeared. Are we even gonna group up for Upper/Lower/Strath/DM anymore. Most of you have got what you need and dont want to go back, which i cant blame you. Im statisfied with stuff i got myself. But i had to use 1 stun to beat a 60 warrior in our guild. Not to cool.

just thought maybe we could pick nights in which we could do these runs. Or days even. Nova no longer runs midnight maddness runs. And infi rarely will get a group together =p. I dunno. We need a time to gear this people up.

Yeah.
Midge
Pardon me if this post tends to wander here and there as it is sort of late as I write it.

We have been doing an awful lot of Molten Core lately. Not to mention that with the Honor System and tangible rewards for PvP some people are wanting to do that more often as well.

Depending on how long we've been in Molten Core every evening not everyone is ready to jump up and rush right off to another instance. I ended up going to DM East about half an hour after MC tonight because I needed to get Satyr Blood for my Doomguard quest. Then I went out to Blasted Lands and finished off the Doomguard quest. I didn't necessarily want to go do this but felt I had to get it done.

We spent a good deal of time getting prepared to go to Molten Core and Onyxia and might have gotten a little burned out on UBRS. I also know that doing LBRS was not exactly my favorite place to go.

Once we were prepared to go to Molten Core it was a whole new place to learn to deal with when we got in there. We're still getting a feel for it and we haven't done it over and over and over as we have with UBRS.

Nevertheless we still need to go do UBRS and LBRS and Strath and DM and other things that our new members and recruits need to do in order to become MC-ready in terms of quests and getting geared up.

Midge hit exactly the main two points: Molten Core and PvP.

Molten Core has taken up a lot of time the last few weeks. Some people find PvP more interesting, so they are always doing that.

I agree with Oabe. We need to work out some sort of schedule for when we do things, mainly molten core.

I don't know about you guys, but I can't really handle starting MC on Tuesday and then going 3 or 4 nights or more in a row. It doesn't leave time for anything else.

I think we should do MC in 2 day chunks. Start on Wednesday and Thursday, then break on Friday and possibly Saturday. After the break, pickup again for 2 more days. I also think attendance would be better if everyone "knew" which nights were "MC nights". When every night is "MC night", I think people are more willing to skip, because they can just come tomorrow night.

Another problem is starting MC on time. I can usually expect to waste about 45 minutes to an hour of my life every night we start MC waiting for the whole raid to form. I think as soon as we get 30 or more people in the instance, we should start clearing if we have the proper classes available. I'm not sure how that will work out, but we should at least try it. I already know that the other option, sitting there and doing nothing, is not cool.

If we get that worked out, then I think more people will start to run instances again.

Also, thanks to the leet THC members who help people do instances. Two people I can think of right now are Druidia and Ripvanwinkle. Both have helped me in DM runs the past few days. Neither of them really needed to do it (I think Rip just had his eyes on that Rich Thorium Vien hehe), but they helped anyway. You guys rock!

Ummm, I guess that's all for now. Just some thoughts and opinions for your consideration. :P

Undergeared is the way to be. Gives our healers something to do!
Morienna
We should have "Twill Armor Day". Running instances and pvp'ing in Twill armor all day long!
Emokore
If I had more time I woudl defentlly help with this, but its hard to set aside 4+ hours now a days to run an instance I have done 50-100 times. Everyonce in a wile I can do it, but considering I rarelly have time to play anymore I coudnt make it a regular thing. I do agree with the OP though, you guys should have a strath night, UBRS night, Scholo night, pvp night, 2 MC nights (in a row), and a free night.

Get everyone geared up. It takes many runs to do this, hell took me 39 strath runs just for my wildheart pants, remember?

lol, I support this idea

I almost had a full set of Twill armor and then I got tired of looking at it.

I think the MC instance that you start is on a 5-day timer, so you need to finish waht you're doing in 5 days....
Pinky

It was a 7 day timer but they changed it to a 6 day timer so guids could run MC on the same night every week.
Chimi
Naw, they changed it because it takes them 14 hours to do simple maintenance on Tuesdays.

once everyones alts start hitting 60 again im sure the ubrs, strat, scholo, etc runs will start to pickup again heh. but seriously, I have noticed people arguing about this in guild chat lately. For the new guys, its hard to get the older players to go back to the older instances they've done 100+ times to get gear for other people when they in turn get nothing. now i know everyone says you gotta help out eachother in the guild and i agree but its so hard to go back to the boring instances especially when theres no incentives. on the plus side my main is a crappy hunter so i rarely get bothered to go with you guys but when my alt gets to 60 ill be happy to run more of these instances. MC is still pretty new and exiciting i'm glad we are starting to do it regulary even I cant make it half the time now that schools out :/

Shalon shalon shalon, what did we tell you about making excuses? NO seriously, I can't remember, lol. But seriously, yeh, this happened a couple weeks ago when like several alts got into raid range and raids started to pick up again. By the time this new generation of alts gets to 56 the instance runs, other than MC, will pick up again.

But also I have to interject, to be useful in MC you need to be 60 and have at least half your gear be blues. But once you can run MC regularly you should and just somewhat ignore the other instances. Especially after the patch the epics in MC will become a lot better, for the most part. And honestly, between and Epic and a Rare, I'd rather focus on getting that occasional epic and get a blue every once in awhile. For example, I believe that I'm the only on that runs MC everytime that is still using crappy ass green bracers. I'm to cheap and to lazy to try for shadowcraft, but I'm going to save the occasional pts up for the Nightslayer.
Morienna
<---- Still using crappy Green Bracers "Shizzle's Nozzle Wiper"

And what's this about only running MC? Why was it that you got tired of the old instances anyway? It's becuase you ran them all the time. Don't you think the same thing will happen with MC if we run it constantly?
Chimi

No, the incentives are too big since its all epic drops. So unless people are greedy and stop doing MC once they get all their epics, it should last pretty long.
