The emo/scene parts made me cringe. CRINGE!

when it comes down to it, i just dont really like Tobey Maguire as Spiderman. Venom, on the other hand, was freekin sweet.

I like him. He's really dorky, and Spider-man is supposed to be like an elite of the elite geeks.

OH, THE NERDERY!

Watched it last night. Hated the ending, dont like "finalizations" in franchises, we needed some kinda driping black sweet goodness to be shown before the credits to set up a Part 4 with Venom and Carnage, but alas, no such luck. Made it seem way too final.

Other than that, I liked it ok. I wasn't floored, I guess expectations were too high. Venom was by far the best part of the movie. Sandman was gay, retardedly unstoppable, retardedly "good guy/bad guy", and just a terrible choice for a villian when they have so many to choose from IMO.

And I think Tobey is a dead on perfect Peter Parker. Its the whole point of Peter being nerdy and Spideryman notso much.

I also liked how Doc Connors had a much bigger role this time, kinda setting up his character for a sequel with Lizard Man.

i think Raimi is done with spiderman for a little while. he's said that he wants a break. besides they have ran out of good or multi-dimensional villains. Raimi wont do Carnage most likely on the basis of he originally wouldnt do Venom because he "lacked humanity," but Avi Arad convinced him to include Venom because of the fans.

all in all, the more i think about it the more i dislike the movie. i gonna see it again tomorrow with a friend. ill see if my opinion changes.

this conversation comes after a day of buying and talking about comics, as well as, having a lengthy discussion about the movie after church this morning. ive started reading comics a lot more in the past 4 or 5 months. anyone else read comics?

As I went to see the movie yesterday I liked it. GF and I agreed it was a little on the long side. They killed off Harry which was a little predictable but i was getting pissy cause he could have saved his friend if he wasn't just standing there shooting the shit with the sandman.
Also Venom turned him Emo?

ahhh all kinds of fun. Gunna see it again today with friends. so we'll see how that goes.

I thought it was pretty good thought a few parts were really cheesy like when spider man was swinging in and he just happened to pass a huge american flag flying in the background ... toby mcguire is good as peter parker because he's a complete doofus... he is however not good as a "badass" during the part where he's the black spider man he shows anger well enough but he is definitly not great with the ladies ... he does that finger gun thing way too much sad.gif
